On Saturday, we met at the Fettlers Wharf Marina in Rufford and a group of 17 had an excellent lunch in the very picturesque Thowd Boatsman's Cabin there. Three of our members brought their Wolseleys along - a stunning 1936 Series II, 16 h.p., a superb 1948 10 h.p. and a 1975 Wolseley Six in immaculate condition. Others travelled to meet in their modern cars, due to their Wolseleys being restored or work in progress ready for the season.

It was great to chat about our Wolseleys: 1966 Mk I 1100, 1960 Mk I 1500, another 1960 Mk I 1500, 1965 Mk II 1500, 1971 16/60, 1937 10/40, 1956 15/50, 1960 15/60, 1957 Mk I 1500, 1936 Wasp, 1937 Series III 12/48, 1953 4/44, 1966 Mk III 1500 and the trips and events we have attended and are planning to attend this year. Pictures were shown of Wolseleys being restored and encouragement was given to hopefully ensure these Wolseleys are ready for the road runs and shows planned this year!

From the Marina in Rufford, we moved on to visit a member and his wife in the Cheshire area and see his charming 1947 Wolseley 8. Thank you for the tea and biscuits!

Shortly after this, we met up with Cheshire members and enthusiasts and we had a memorable dinner at the Bears Head in Holmes Chapel, Sandbach. Once again it was great to chat and catch up with both members and enthusiasts we had not seen for quite a while and discuss their Wolseleys past and present - 1955 4/44, 1922 E3 Ten, 1955 4/44 and a 1967 Mini Hornet Mk III.

On Sunday, a lovely sunny day, we drove to The Druid Inn in Llanferres, North Wales and met up with some of our members and enthusiasts from this area. Pictures of Wolseleys and other classics were proudly shown and discussed - 1947 Wolseley 8, a New Hornet and a 1935 Wasp and we had a slide show of the Wolseleys at the National Rally held in Rugeley last year. One of our members came along in his 1933 Wolseley Hornet which looked superb and drew much attention. All credit to him for driving his Wolseley in the snow! We are now planning a run in Wales and will let you all know details later! A fine dinner in The Druid Inn, followed later in the evening and then we returned to Lancashire.

Many thanks to all our members and enthusiasts for turning out - it was fantastic to see you all and we look forward to seeing you again later in the year.
