As you will be aware Drive It Day this year will be held on Sunday 25th April. A route has been planned around the Bolton and South Lancashire area.
The start is the Grade 1 listed, 13th Century country residence of Turton Tower, Chapel Town Road, Bolton, BL7 0HG. The route takes us out towards Rawtenstall and across to Darwen before we return to Bolton and The Bolton Steam Museum. The Bolton Steam Museum contains one of the largest collections of stationary steam engines in the world and although they will not be in steam this day, they will be operating by electric motors.
