Week-end Away in Somerset, May 2009 - Line Up at Fleet Air Arm Museum
The Midlands Region stretches approximately as far as Gloucester in the South, Stoke-on-Trent in the North, the Welsh border in the West and Nottinghamshire in the East. The Region supports a variety of local events and is always happy to welcome members and visitors to the Wolseley Stand at transport and country shows. Monthly social meetings are currently organised in the North of the Region, having recently changed to the second Tuesday of the month at a new venue (see below). There are also regular opportunities to meet with other local classic car enthusiasts in the Worcestershire/Warwickshire area. There is a wealth of knowledge in the Region covering a cross-section of Wolseley models which local members are very willing to share.
Activities are organised in and around the Midlands along with excursions to other areas, such as the recently enjoyed week-end visit to Somerset, which we were pleased to share with members and Wosleley owners from other Regions and indeed other countries as a passing 1500 en route to it's new home in Denmark joined in the display pictured above.

21 June - Trentham Classic Car & Transport Show, Trentham Gardens, Stoke-on-Trent
28 June - invitation to join a village fundraising event at Shenstone, Staffordshire. Displays will include classic cars and a collection of historic earth-moving equipment
5 July - Cars in the Park, Lichfield - Register stand applied for
11 July - Sunfield Summer Fair, Clent, Worcestershire (limited space available this year)
25/26 July - Welland Steam Fair, Near Malvern, Worcs (individual applications to be made)
6 September - Dudley Classic Car & Transport Show, Himley Hall, Dudley PLEASE NOTE: REGIONAL RALLY HAS BEEN MOVED TO HANBURY WEEK-END (SEE BELOW)
19-20 September - Midlands Regional Rally at Hanbury Steam Rally, Worcestershire Shakespeares Rally Promotions (external website) - Register stand will be arranged

Meeting dates
Third Thursdays of the month, 8.00 pm onwards: meet with other classic car owners at The Ewe and Lamb (note new venue), Hanbury Road (B4091), near Bromsgrove, Worcestershire.
Meetings on the second TUESDAY (note new meeting night) of every month have now moved to a new venue: The Towers, 636 Walsall Road, Great Barr, Birmingham B42 1EY. A table will be booked each month at this main road hostelry where members can meet for a social evening to plan Regional activities with optional dining.
TRANSTAR PROMOTIONS EVENTS: 10 May - Sandwell; 21 June - Trentham Gardens; 6 September - Himley Hall. Group bookings will/have been submitted for these events. Please contact Graham Ryder up to one month before each event.
