1947 12/48 WOLSELEY saloon - ADDED 30 NOVEMBER 2011
1947 12/48 Wolseley Saloon 1476cc in black. Tax till FEB 2012 (free) MOT till 10th Jan 2012 but a new MOT will be on the car at the begining of DECEMBER. The car is very solid & runs well. Had new tyre & rim on n/s rear & new spare, it's had a new oil seal on steering box & new timing chain all since JULY. The interior is original & clean, roof lining is good & original, also had a new distributor cap-Points -condenser & plugs & rotor arm. There is nothing to do on the car unless you are paticular & re-paint it.

In excellent condition
55,700 recorded miles. One previous family owner. Original bill of sale and warranty, first tax disc, first log book, workshop manual and drivers handbook.
Over the past two years it has had a new battery, tyres and radiator, door seals and a replacement dual master cylinder. The exhaust system is stainless steel. The bodywork in silver grey is in very good condition and has been resprayed.
The interior has red upholstery, grey unmarked headlining and the original carpets.
MoT until May 2012.

My Series 3 14/60 is for sale. 44,000 miles from new, original paint, trim etc - more like a ten-year-old car. Laid up for decades, then used and abused in second series of 'Foyle's War', Poirot and others. Has since had total engine rebuild, clutch, radiator, steering and brake overhaul; 4 new tyres and countless little improvements. I am having to sell my Woseley car as I have not got the time to spend on it - not that it needs major work done, it has been very well looked after. I bought it off an old lady who had it for 25 years. I have got all paper work to the car, there's no MOT but I know it would pass. It is a very tidy car that needs somebody who has got the time to spend on it. I will be very sad to see it go as I was looking forward to entering the car in next year's vintage shows.
