UPDATE TO 2 NOVEMBER POSTING
Thanks to all who responded to my post looking for surviving Wolseley Sixes.
According to How Many Left (External website) there are 45 licensed and 35 on SORN in the UK. Take away the 6 outside the build years for this car; gives us only 74 UK vehicles!
I now have details on 132 Wolseley Sixes (1972 - 1975).
Pictures of some of these can be seen by Clicking here (External website)
Keep them coming ;)

Fan Blades - beware!

Whilst tuning my car's engine recently I heard a 'clatter' and found that one of the fan blades had sheared and dropped to the floor near my feet. Metal fatigue appears to have been the problem. It is only as I have reflected on this that I appreciated that I had a lucky escape. A 4'' piece of fan, travelling at several feet per minute, has a lot of stored energy, and could readily have embedded itself in me! In future I shall be a more careful about keeping away from the plane of the fan.
I am now looking for a new fan blade and wonder if anyone can help. My fan was chromed. This was not standard treatment and I will be very happy to find a painted version. My fan is formed from two of these items - which are 14.5'' long - crossed, to give a four-bladed fan. My car is a Series III 25HP, but I think this fan may well have been used on other late 1930s models.

Hi all, This is a bit of a long shot but i'm trying to trace the owner of my late fathers Wolesley Hornet, Just out of curiosity really as this was his pride and joy for many years and would love to know if it's still around. As far as i know it was an Abbey bodied car built in about 1931. I'm not sure when he bought the car but he had it for many years. I think it was in bits and he basically restored it. It was originally British racing green but the following owner had it repainted maroon and the reg number was UF7902. We have a few pictures of it and i can still remember the sound of the small 6 cylinder engine! Anyway if anyone knows if this car is still in existance then i'd love to hear from you. Many thanks

I find that my late father's 1960 Wolseley 6/99 Reg XER41 automatic is still on the road. He owned it during the 60s and was, I believe the second owner. I would love to hear from the present owner.

Looking for any advice about how I might refacilitate the radio in my 1938 Super Six. The knobs turn and the band moves, but no sound. Any information about how to get some sound in the car would be greatly appreciated. My Golden Retriever is getting sick of my singing - and vice versa. Trying to avoid just throwing a modern unit on the lower glove shelf. Many thanks for you thoughts! -- Jamie
